Angelica Panganiban was born in the Philippines. She's now an Filipino American performer and comedian as well as host on television and model. Angelica Hale, then 4 years old, fell very sick in 2012 because of an infection caused by strep bacteria. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, where she was treated to treat her condition, which was lifesaving the ECMO-based Life Support. The patient suffered from multiple organ failures and kidneys that didn't recuperate. Hemodialysis and later peritoneal dialysis became her new normal. After spending 80 consecutive days in the hospital from the point of death to a long journey towards recovery, she made it home but the course of her life changed forever. Angelica was, following a full half-year of dialysis, and one year half, was now ready to undergo the biggest surgery of all: the replacement of her kidney. Angelica would be receiving the donated kidney from her mother. Angelica together with her mother, went through an organ transplant successfully on the 13th of September, 2013 at two fantastic hospitals close to each other - Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale's ambition to be the world's most famous person has never wavered.
