Mena Alexandera is an American actor, model and designer. Born on 13 February 1979. Shortly after beginning her career as a model, she moved into acting, after appearing in guest roles on 1990's TV shows like Boy Meets World and High Incident. Her first film part in the drama Nowhere. Her roles were in American Beauty, for which she was awarded a BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie led to her being the subject of more public attention. Her next appearance was in Loser (2000) which was a co-production with American Pie actor Jason Biggs. She was later the role of the title role on the screen in Sugar & Spice (2002). She also appeared in Spun the drama by an independent company and 2004's thriller Trauma. She also appeared in the HBO drama Six Feet Under in 2004 she received a nomination as a member of the Outstanding Cast at the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, Suvari was a part in several films such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the film adaptation to The Garden of Eden. Suvari is a model on behalf of Lancome Paris Adaptive, and she's been on a number of fashion blogs and magazines such as Vogue. She has backed and served as an advocate for the African Medical and Research Foundation for many years. She also is active on the issue of women's empowerment and works with organizations that support breast cancer awareness and the End Violence Against Women Campaign.
